Hiking at Altitude 

Altitude sickness isn't a concern on the Tour du Mont Blanc. The highest elevations encountered on the standard route don't surpass 8,530 feet. You might, however, as you acclimatize you may experience breathlessness, an elevated pulse while ascending, headache, and difficulty sleeping.

To more quickly adjust to high altitude

  • Drink lots of water

  • Get enough sleep

  • Limit alcohol intake

  • Increase your Potassium levels

  • Protect yourself from the sun with a hat

  • Consume more calories
