Hiking Day 3: Les Chapieux to Courmayeur 

10.5 miles, elevation gain/loss 4,993 feet, 6-7 hours. 
Day three is a long day, with a fairly gradual ascent to the Col de la Seigne marks one of the easier passes on the tour. We cross the international border of France and Italy at Col de la Seigne, ending the day in Courmayeur by way of La Visaille. We take a break in Courmayeur, giving our bodies an extra day of rest and relaxation in this picturesque Italian village. We will stay at the the hotel Le Massif.

Hiking Day 4: rest day

We will spend one full day in Courmayeur, Italy to give your bodies time to rest. Courmayeur is a Italian ski resort town with numerous shops and a plethora of restaurants. If you do not want to hike the several trails leading to gorgeous alpine lakes and vistas, relax at the hotel's spa, get a massage, or take a stroll to the local Saussure Botanical Gardens. We will stay at the Hotel Le Massif with breakfast included. Dinner will be on your own.
